The Night when we arrived, we went straight to the dive center to sort out our diving gear. actually we already filled in the form and email them before we arrived but lost in translation, which is a blessing in disguise. Can you imagine on the dive morning itself excited and ready to go,only to find out your suit is too small and your fins are too big, so im glad we did a hands on wardrobe check.
We are very lucky to have the whole boat to ourselves, all 6 of us. Including instructor, captain and crew total 11 of us, which was just nice and not too crowded.
since it was a double deck boat, we hung at the upper deck along with Latino music (portable speaker and songs prepared by Jenny aka the one taking the photo, the speaker is the orange looking thing behind her husband Jorge) and breath taking view.
The journey to our 1st dive site takes about 1h 30m and hence everyone chilling la apa lagi haha
I got so excited when i saw food that looks like LUNCH. The point is it feels like a picnic on the boat in the middle of the sea!! That's not your everyday scene isn't it, and that's why i was excited, literally jumping up and down. Our Dive instruction fried sliced banana for us as snacks after our first dive, that was just too cute.
On the first day, i was enjoying the corals and the fishes following the instructor very close by(having the instructor dragging me literally lol), because i know myself. i know i will not follow well while im buzy being amazed hahha.
so on the 4th dive on wards, i was practically practicing and exploring my buoyancy. and im so glad and so proud of myself, by a total of dive #12 i finally manage to understand buoyancy a little better and be very calm and in control. i had 2 kg on, i still think its a little heavy for me. I didn't use any weights when i was in Maldives diving...hmm..o.O something i yet to learn and understand.
Was is a waste that i might have missed out something while im concentrating with buoyancy? definitely not :). i've not only understand better, i've gain confidence in myself and because i was able to be more in control, i was able to hover and watched two turtle swimming in circles as if they were doing a dance, it was a very amazing moment for me to see that, and i shall remember how that moment made me feel for quite awhile.
( starting on the left is Sole, Jenny, me and Jorge)
We are very proud of Sole, she was perhaps nervous since the beginning and panic a little before the very 1st dive, her air par starting from 200, ended with 30 par in just 30 minutes, but she never gave up,and she did not let fear take a toll on her. by the end of our last dive, she dove for 45 minutes with 30 par left, slowly but surely a very brave woman and we are proud of you that you have over come yourself and grown stronger. And have i mention, she is like the mother in the group, very tentative and caring. i will always remember her asking with a Spanish accent : Do you want banana no? hehe
Jenny is like the big sister, she was the one who organized this whole trip. This was our first trip together and WOW she has the "EYE"
here are some photos she took--->
She has this calm aura, and sometimes she can be fun too. She was the one who brought me to Zumba and taught me some steps on the boat while i was trying to keep my balance haha it was a challenge, and it was fun.
as for the boys, it feels like Jorge and My Fiance are brothers in crime (playing Pokemon) while Rolando , is the BIG Brother haha Rolando may look intimidating but he is also a teddy bear inside :)
Overall we were a good group of friends to go on the trip together, everyone was easy going, no fuss and no sour faces, everyone enjoyed each others company. I had fun, i really enjoyed every moment of it. even typing now i got a smile on my face :) i feel truly blessed and grateful. Sole and Rolando will be leaving Singapore for good March next year, i do hope our path can meet again. Already i miss you guys.
And as for my LOVE
Thank you for being apart of my life, taking me along to explore the world.
I must have done something real good, to deserve a great gentlemen like you.
